Dracule Mihawk (OP14-020) Banned from 12 October 2026
Bandai has announced that the green leader Dracule Mihawk (OP14-020) will be banned from 12 October 2026. Mihawk has been the strongest deck for a long time, so this shakes up the meta.
Why?
According to Bandai, certain combinations with the card have become stronger than expected. At the same time, Mihawk makes it hard for other leaders with the Slash trait to compete.
What replaces it?
Bandai will hand out a new Mihawk leader at upcoming events: P-163 Dracule Mihawk. It has the same power and almost the same ability, but without the +1000 bonus to Slash.
What does it mean for the meta?
When the ban was announced, Mihawk accounted for more than one in four top placements in tournaments. When it disappears, the next decks move up. That applies especially to Nico Robin, Rocks.D.Xebec, Enel and Sabo. See the current list of the strongest decks.
And prices?
Cards that are played almost only in the Mihawk deck typically fall once the ban takes effect. Cards that are also played in other green decks, e.g. in the Shanks deck, hold their price better. If you have Mihawk cards you want to sell, it is often best to do so before 12 October.
